Smudge and the reindeer ears and Molonglo gorge.

Tuesday 5th January 2010

Smudge helped himself to the reindeer ears from the normally closed to cats computer room yesterday. He was about to chew them good so I decided we would take some cat wearing the ears pics (only prob too big for his head).

No where does this go?

Hmm that does not feel quite right.
I got out to the gorge at Molonglo yesterday for a 3 hour hike, with a breeze the way there and back 29 degrees was not bad. We have had a lot hotter weather but it’s been nice walking in the under 30 degree temps (this is Celsius I am referring to for all you using the Fahrenheit scale).

The train on its way past.

The Gorge.

It was a nice walk and saw a lot of lizards and birds, got a photo of this cute water dragon that was a big scaredy cat, as soon as I tried to take a closer shot he was into the water like a flash of light.

Note Water dragon in middle.

A poem I wrote near my lunch spot.

Molonglo Gorge

A quiet walk along rocky terrain,

Until a rattling train disturbs the peace.

Scrub and Fairy wrens, Cuckoo Shrikes twittering away.

Walk up and down along a narrow goat like path until,

You arrive at the green pool and hope to catch a glimpse of an elusive platypus.

Very whimsical poem! It's lovely to have such thoughts while walking in nature.

That's pretty funny where you decided to put Smudge's reindeer ears. He looks like a walking antenna!

Thanks for coming to visit Dante and the LOLSpot!

Wow, what did the reindeer ears taste like?

Smudge told me they tasted very sparkly and chewy.
