Moths,markets and wall climbing

Sunday 25th October 2009

Yesterday I was invited to the markets at Covenant College by my friend who goes there. 1 hour later found a number of books that I hasd been looking for for quite some time (yes more books) and got a boxful for $28. Books like Louise L Hays "You can heal your life", "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elisabeth Gilbert and many of Enid Blyton's.

Meanwhile back in catville Smudge staked the front door out last night, admiring all the lovely moths on the screen door. Funny/ unusual he did no climbing on the door and some moths came into the room and were swiftly dispatched by Smudge. He did however take up the art of climbing up door frames last night for what purpose I have yet to discover. Wall climbing was on the agenda briefly this morning as he scaled my bedroom door frame and got growled at by me.

Funny you may think but both cats have dabbled in graffiti on a few walls, leaving massive scratch marks above a favourite sitting place and below the laundry window frame. This art is referred to and examples shown in the book "Why cats paint", much of may be orchestrated by humans (cats painting and not licking it off their paws???). I am telling you now all the art in our house is pure cat with no human intervention and I am being very restrained really and understanding that two cats inside must find hobbies and this is but one of them. Much of the art is down to Spider trying desperately to retain his possie as top cat.

More on cat plant decoration to follow.
