My equine friends

Hello everybody,

This is my new buddy Storm. He is 15 years old and over 15 hands high. His mother Moonlight and their friend Doc are also staying at my place for a while. I visit them every day, they love carrots, pears and apples. I am really enjoying when I walk the track to the creek and they come with me.

Spider and Smudge are still happy and well, Spider has just been through a rough patch with a Urinary infection, but we caught it early and he is going quite well now!!!

The mom's first love was horses, so it's terrific to see Storm (and Doc).

We're so glad Spider is okay now! Purrs that he remains healthy and UTI-free!

BTW, marshmallow root (ground up or bought in gel capsules and opened up, sprinkled in canned food) is good for inflammation (like Slippery Elm Bark only without the woody taste). Also, glucosamine + chondroitin, normally given for joint problems, is also given for bladder health because the bladder lining has similar properties as cartilage. You can get it from vets under the brand name Cosequin (here in North America) or buy regular stuff (cheaper) and give an appropriate dose. The mom found out all these things with Annie.

Hi, Spider and Smudge. It's good to hear you are feeling OK. Mom used to ride a retired race horse when she was a kid.
