Thursday and preparing for a garage sale.

We got Kangaroo sausage, we like it a lot!!!

                 Thursday 17th February
I must be crazy sometimes, just being willing to spend another day on a 5/6 class even though I am booked to take a 3/4 class tommorrow. They weren't too bad and I can honestly say I have had a great deal worse.

We had a chat this afternoon and discussed how we can make Thursday and a better day. I believe it will be a better day without the backchat and talking while I am addressing the class.

Also getting them to help me make my Garage sale signs may be helpful, I am gonna have a garage sale this weekend  before I get a skip bin to throw a lot of junk into.

We already have a garage so we can't buy it from you!

Your fur babies look worried like you might try to sell their toys in the garage sale!

The problem with subbing is that the students never take you seriously - at least at first. I know when my boyfriends mom "retired" from teaching and went to subbing she always needed a day or so to get them in line.

And the sign making sounds like a great idea - keep them busy and get help on the sale a the same time!!

Good luck with the garage sale. I've done one only once--a lot of work!

I don't know if you have any donation options there, but here where I am there are a number of charity organizations that will come and pick up household goods, furniture, etc. provided it's in reasonably good condition. So if you can't sell everything and have something similar, consider calling an agency and having them pick up your unwanted stuff.

Hope the garage sale goes well!

Great idea about the garage sale! From my experience, it has yielded at least a couple of hundred dollars every time -- even though people are exceedingly cheap in general. Just be ready to bargain. Good luck!

Did you check out Smudge on the LOLSpot again for Wednesday?
